A Shocking Wedding Scam

In Ajmer, Rajasthan, a young man's wedding dreams were shattered in just one day. The incident took place in the Kamla Bawdi area, where Pramod Kumar fell victim to a marriage scam. He has since filed a complaint with the local police.

Pramod revealed that due to his age, he was struggling to find a bride. A woman named Manisha, acting as a broker, assured him she could help him get married. She showed him a photo of a girl named Chandni, claiming she was from Uttar Pradesh and living in poverty. Pramod was taken by Chandni's picture, and Manisha subsequently demanded ₹1.8 lakhs for the wedding expenses.

The Wedding Ceremony

After receiving the money, Manisha arranged for Pramod to marry Chandni at an Arya Samaj temple. However, on their wedding night, Chandni complained of stomach pain. The following day, she insisted on visiting the Ajmer Dargah to pray, and Pramod took her there.

The Bride's Disappearance

Upon reaching the Dargah, Chandni seized the opportunity to deceive Pramod and fled. Despite extensive searching, her whereabouts remain unknown. Realizing he had been scammed, Pramod lodged a fraud report against Manisha and Chandni at the Ganj police station.

Police Investigation Underway

Assistant Sub-Inspector Rakesh Singh from the Ganj police station stated that an FIR has been filed based on Pramod's complaint, and an investigation has commenced. Authorities suspect this could be part of a larger scam operation that targets individuals under the guise of marriage. The police are actively searching for both suspects.
